I just learnt that this art/discipline/sport(?) was inspired by African indigenous tribesmen escaping from volcanic eruptions and other life-threatening events. It was further developed and popularised by a Georges Hébert from France.
Amazingly, it shows how humans can react in the extreme conditions requiring flight, but curiously, it seems really animal to me. This will make Charles Darwin happy, or not? (Happy because we really might have animal qualities; Not happy because we're de-evolving.)
